(A pocketful of…) Poesie’s mystical indie perfume oils, reviewed.

Longtime followers of my internet presence will know I have always gone to bat for the creations of North Carolina based independent perfumers Poesie. I find their cabinet of references to mythology, classical literature, film, and television unique and refreshing, and while I normally don’t spring for perfume oils – finding them limited and made from a formulaic palette of aromatherapy ingredients – the sensibilities of these very affordable pocket perfumes lean far more niche than spa.

This is not perfume that appeals to everyone, but rather, perfume that appeals to a very specific type of person very well…

A bob, an Eton crop, and a “V” at the nape of the neck...

A wise person on Twitter.com once said that it takes about 5 years for the decade’s fashion to really set in and as we get closer and closer to the mid-2020s “the look” of our times has begun to solidify. Whether it’s skinny brows, dark lipstick, or shiny purses, one thing is clear – the similarities between the 2020s and 1920s are pretty hard to ignore…
